To everyone who supported the Men of Media Two during yesterday’s St. Baldrick’s shave, THANK YOU!!! Thanks to your help, the event was a huge success, and we are all now quite bald. Yes, even the daring Nick DiPietro decided to brave all odds and face the clippers.
By event’s end, we managed to raise almost $2,300 as a team, and the event as a whole rose just shy of $11,800. That’s pretty impressive considering it’s the first time an event had been held at that venue.
For anyone interested in future events, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation is an awesome organization – raising millions of dollars each year to support childhood cancer research. Even if you don’t participate as a shavee, it’s a blast just to go and watch. Take a look at these highlights. Thanks again for everyone’s help!

It was a fantastic experience! I am so glad I went. The 10 year old girl with the long, blonde hair was so brave – she ALMOST moved me enough to get up there myself. Maybe next year!
I am so proud of all of the men of Media Two! I’m really proud to work with such a great group of people with such big hearts. It sounds cheesy, but I mean it. And, you all look so handsome, bald! Big thanks to St. Baldrick’s for raising awareness and funds for such an important cause and big thanks to everyone who donated and supported our team. And, as Ellie mentioned, I have enormous respect for the two females (one very young girl) who are now sporting the bald-is-beautiful look.
Thanks Ellie! It really was a great experience, and you’re right about that young lady. I couldn’t believe it when she jumped up there on the barber’s stool – very brave!
It was an honor to be there with such a great group of guys willing to literally give the hair off their heads for such a good cause. We can now boast the most handsome bald men in the Triangle! Stop by and see for yourselves! Better yet, make a contribution to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation – it’s never too late.
Awesome, guys! I love this foundation and the buzz it generates, and the sacrifice is worth it many, many times over.
P.S. It’s gonna be a cool Spring for awhile. You all might want to invest in some hats
Right you are Joshua! My hair was short to begin with, but I have to say, yesterday’s cool breeze caught me a bit off guard. I think investing in sunscreen is a wise choice too
