I am surprised that “Twitter users are 3 times more likely to follow brands than Facebook users.” I would not have guessed that. I am also surprised and a little impressed that “The average income of social media users has increased to $75,000.” These facts are fun AND informative.

Great stats! It’s always nice to see the progress that the medium has been making. Stats can be tricky to find because they change so rapidly. The stat that surprised me was that the #1 activity for 18-55 is watching video. It makes sense if it’s based on time spent but it definitely surprises me if it’s based on the number of times you do particular online activities. I’d guess that people check email more frequently than watch video, right?

WOW great stats, I think this is an eye opening for businesses out there if they want to target these demographics they need to take action. Social Media reaches a crucial age group which marketing want to brand their products to.
