Earlier this year, Media Two Interactive and other IAB agency members collaborated to review the standard IAB ad unit guidelines. This was the first year that the IAB decided to include creative and media agencies like M2i and we jumped at the opportunity to contribute. As we are massive data hounds over here, our Creative Director, Rachel was able to submit a wealth of information on ad sizes and their effectiveness and their availability.
In the end, seven units met the new criteria and make up the NEW standard ad units and they are:
- Medium Rectangle 300×250
- Rectangle 180×150
- Leaderboard 728×90
- Wide Skyscraper 160×600
- Half Page 300×600
- Button 120×60
- Micro Bar 88×31
